Mike and Mariah had a beautiful (and slightly modified) wedding day. They had planned on having their ceremony outside at Lakeside Gardens, but it rained, and rained, and rained. So everyone pulled together, and moved the ceremony to the pavilion. I know that it wasn’t what Mike and Mariah had in mind, but the ceremony turned out beautiful, and it was great to see Mike and Mariah’s family and friends work out all of the logistics, and make their ceremony happen. I am sure it will make Mike and Mariah’s memory of their wedding day that much more memorable! Thankfully, the rain let up after the ceremony, and we were able to have a great bridal portrait session, and with a last minute decision, have the reception outside as originally planned. It turned out to be a beautiful night, and a great party! Mike and Mariah, thank you so much for allowing us to document your day, we think you guys are awesome!

 Every wedding we document always has a unique feel to it, each couple has a different story, a different way of showing love and of course, it is evident on their wedding day. It’s really hard to describe in words the love and commitment we witness, and the bond that our couples share. There is just a certain magic to weddings, and each wedding holds its own unique magic. Kedric and Anna were no different, it was so evident how much they loved, cared and adored one another.  I just loved the way they went about their ceremony,  Kedric and Anna had written each other letters to be read during the ceremony, and to hear their commitment and love to each other in their own words made the ceremony so much more intimate, and very memorable. Plus, I am pretty sure they had everyone in tears! I learned later from a family friend that Kedric is not much of a talker, so for him to share such personal thoughts in front of everyone was a pretty big deal! Congrats Kedric and Anna, it was such a privilege to be apart of your wedding day!

Brook and Abby’s sneak peek! I said it earlier, but we really enjoyed documenting Brook and Abby’s wedding day. They are just one of those couples who make everyone they meet feel welcome and apart of what is going on. And it was evident at their wedding that they hold a special place in a lot of people’s hearts. So congrats Mr. and Mrs. Duncan! We hope the best for you, stay in touch!

Alex and Emily had such a beautiful wedding. The church they were married in was stunning, and they couldn’t have chosen a more unique (or fitting) reception venue. Alex and Emily are both incredibly talented opera singers, so they chose the Eldwood Opera House for their reception (you can read about it’s history here). Instead of the traditional first dance, Alex and Emily decided to sing a duet for their guests! It was so beautiful, and something we will always remember. Alex and Emily thank you so much for allowing us to document  your day, it was so great to get to know both of you! Enjoy!!!

Meet Andrew and Lindsay! We loved documenting their wedding day, they had such a fun bridal party, their reception was beautiful, and they were a great couple! Andrew and Lindsay chose to have a First Look before the ceremony (love that!), and we were able to do a mini-session with them during open dance time at the reception, so we got some unique pictures on the docks of Potawatomi Inn!
